The American Association for Justice (AAJ) is looking for an AMS Specialist responsible for supporting the organization’s functional, data and implementation needs of our new netFORUM AMS environment.  The Specialist serves as the main point of contact to all of the organization’s departments for netFORUM platform related discussions, functional operation, data extraction, system set up and training.  Other responsibilities range from data analysis/import to application set up and conducting end-user discussions regarding business processes using netFORUM.

Additional AMS Specialist tasks include researching and analyzing issues surrounding the processes of the organization and making recommendations to improve the processes through effective use of the netFORUM platform.  This ideal candidate will also extend the netFORUM database by adding fields/tables using the netFORUM Toolkit, create/execute SQL statements to insert or extract data, and create custom views and reports for end users.  Database query development will also be part of this position’s responsibilities.

The AMS Specialist will also be responsible for coordinating IT projects and to ensure company resources and consultants are utilized appropriately to meet project requirements.  Other responsibilities include compiling project status reports, coordinate project schedules, manage project meetings, and identify and resolve technical problems.

Responsibilities

• Support the netFORUM association software application
• Maintain and enhance existing functionality according to provided requirements
• Perform query development and assist end-users with development
• Understand and be able to modify existing netFORUM modules to fit the needs of the organization
• Help maintain technical documentation, process documents and end-user custom reports and ensure all documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
• Analyze data questions or issues to determine root cause and develop cleanup strategy, if needed
• Troubleshoot ad-hoc business & technical issues & advise on solution options
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the AMS and IT projects
• Support other related applications on an as-needed basis

Requirements

• Must be familiar and posses experience using netFORUM AMS, including module navigation, query development, netFORUM Toolkit and/or another AMS SQL-based environment
• Working knowledge of the netFORUM data-model and Toolkit
• Strong SQL language knowledge preferred
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Possess positive, enthusiastic attitude and strong desire to innovate and learn new technologies and techniques
• Must possess ability to hold customer discussions in professional manner
