We are looking for an experienced Applications Analyst/Developer who will perform a variety of duties related to the daily operation of the organization’s association management system – netForum - and assists in the development and maintenance of database applications on the SQL Server.  Responsibilities include:

  • Assist in creating, developing, and sending email communications, surveys, and mailing list sales to members and non-members.
  • Provide technical assistance to staff, especially for netForum, including requests for advanced queries and reports.
  • Design and develop queries and reports within the netForum application and SQL Server.
  • Assist in maintaining and monitoring data security and integrity on the netForum application.
  • Setup and maintain administrative security levels, groups, and users on the netForum application.
  • Update, insert, and delete data in SQL Server. Import and export data in SQL Server.
  • Develop and document procedures and train staff in various computer applications focusing on the netForum application.
  • Work collaboratively with staff and consultants to develop, maintain, and test new and enhanced features in netForum, both i-web and e-web.
  • Perform related duties within the department as assigned or necessary.

This position is based out of our headquarters in Washington, DC and is easily accessible by public transportation.  This is not a remote opportunity. 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area of study
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with:
    • HTML, SQL, XML, java script
    • Database administration (SQL Server preferred) or programming experience
    • Web development 
    • Microsoft Reporting Services (preferred)
    • Association Management Systems (AMS); netForum experience preferred
    • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with a variety of persons and institutions
    • Must be courteous, dependable, detail- and customer-service oriented
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to set and manage priorities judiciously and be innovative
