Title:   Membership Software Programmer

Classification:  Software Programmer Expert (NetForum Enterprise)

Pay scale: Commensurate with skills

Reports to:  Principal Deputy Director of Membership, Development, and Marketing

Starting:  Immediately

Location: Washington, D.C.

SUMMARY

 

This position is under the direct supervision of the Principal Deputy Director of Membership, Development, and Marketing. This position provides on-site support to the implementation, query building, and training of the NetForum enterprise membership software to NGAUS and the 54+ NGAUS system end-users.

 

ESSENTIONAL FUNCTIONS

 

Perform the day to day processing of members records

  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all member data base information
  • Verify that transactions comply with current membership policies and procedures

     

    Build and maintain interfaces with other software systems (NetForum enterprise with Great Plains)

  • Build, test and verify the completeness of the interfaces.
  • Monitor batches for accuracy and timeliness of data transfers
  • Build reports to capture accounting data for Finance office
  • Verify backup reports are accurate and complete after data entry

     

    Build standardized and custom query reports from emerging and known requirements

  • Maintain a standardized filing system for reports
  • Help prioritize requirements from end users
  • Manage report files and standards (Help create report policies.)

     

    Training services-Level 1 Service Desk Support

  • Build on-line software training packages, and help provide training
  • Answer correspondence, emails, phone calls with system use questions
  • Track FAQ’s and ensure answers are disseminated to all stakeholders
  • Direct calls and respond to inquiries

     

    Project Implementation support

  • Help project manager to meet project deadlines
  • Help create implied task lists to ensure implementation success
  • Help query stakeholders for emerging requirements or implementation show stoppers
  • Help with all aspects of eWeb implementation phase
  • Direct calls and respond to inquiries
  • Ensure project manager and team are updated and informed of progress/issues

     

    Perform other related duties as required

     

     

    Competencies

  1. Technical Capacity. NetForum enterprise software expertise (mandatory) to include but not limited to:
    1. Interfaces with excel to upload and download information/reports
    2. Interfaces with Great Plains or other accounting software
    3. Daily data entry of member record information
    4. Ability to build standardized reports
    5. Ability to create queries
    6. Ability to build and populate drop downs

       

  2. Microsoft products (Word, Excel, power point and outlook).
  3. SQL experience.
  4. Personal Effectiveness/Credibility.
  5. Thoroughness - Possession of strong organizational skills.
  6. Collaboration Skills - Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.
  7. Communication Proficiency- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess exceptional interpersonal communication skills.
  8. Presentation skills - to provide comprehensive and on the fly training
  9. Prompt and Regular attendance.

    Supervisory Responsibility
    This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment
    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

    Physical Demands
    This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. 

    Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
    This is a full-time temporary position (possibility of permanent). Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.  

    Travel – A low to moderate amount of travel is expected for this position. 

     

    Required Education and Experience

    1. Bachelors Degree
    2. Two years plus of NetForum enterprise software experience.
